Partnership
A powerful partnership emerged between Lock and Talk and Blue Ridge Poison Control Center, resulting in a tip card for participating pharmacies during National Poison Prevention Week and a new educational brochure. We also include Poison Control Hotline cards and magnets in our medication lock boxes for community members.
The brochures combine intentional and accidental overdose prevention information and both poison control and behavioral healthcare resources are available year-round.
The 2-sided tip cards for National Poison Prevention Awareness Week are disseminated through pharmacies willing to include them in customer prescription bags throughout the month of March.
